MODES OF TRANSPORTATION: road transportation with dedicated equipment Kiuruvesi-Kuopio, loading operations at Kuopio, lake-rivers-sea transportation on dedicated sea-river, saimaa trading vessel to the port of Onega (including arranging of customs transit clearance at the Russian border).
SPECIAL DETAILS: The main feature of this project is chartering of dedicated sea-river, saimaa trading vessel able to provide direct shipment via FDinnish lakes, Saimaa channel, Finnish Gulf, Russian river system and White sea without any transshipments and in a very short transit time. Transit time took less than 1 week, customs transit formalities were completed within few hours and in the end of the day this solution gave serious savings on the total budget compare to standard sea route around Scandinavia.
